There’s something about a summer wedding tucked into a secret garden that just feels ridiculously romantic. Jardin del Sol in Snohomish, Washington does that vibe SO well.
Hidden among seven acres of rolling pasture and lush Pacific Northwest woodland, Jardin del Sol feels like you’ve wandered into somebody’s insanely beautiful private garden rather than a wedding venue. There are flowers lining the pathways, tall trees surrounding the property, and little pockets of greenery everywhere you turn. The best part is the ceremony space that genuinely feels secluded from the rest of the world.
And then once the sun starts going down? The whole place transforms. Bistro lights glow over the patios, everyone spills onto the outdoor dance floor, and suddenly you’re dancing underneath the trees and Washington summer sky.
Basically, if your dream wedding involves a garden party with a little bit of PNW wildness mixed in, this place is GOOD.

Jakob and Kasi wanted their wedding to feel romantic, lush greenery, detailed, and classy, and Jardin del Sol could not have been a more perfect backdrop for it.
One of my favorite things about this venue is that it already has so much personality. You really don’t need to completely transform the property for it to feel special. The gardens are filled with flowering perennials, shrubs, mature trees, vines, and layers upon layers of greenery. Before you bring in your own florals or decor, you’re already surrounded by color and texture.
Kasi’s dress was absolutely stunning. Her choice of wearing the highly detailed lace veil paired with the corseted dress was the most beautiful pairing to the gardens. They carefully curated their wedding details to include a lot of reused vintage furniture and elevated it with white lace runners and flowers to compliment.

The day started inside Jardin del Sol’s little cottage, which has two separate getting-ready spaces right in the middle of the property.
Upstairs is a vintage-inspired room that’s actually original to the cottage’s 1920 build, with plenty of stations for hair and makeup. Downstairs feels a little more modern, with comfortable seating, large mirrors, and a dry bar.
Having both spaces on the property makes the beginning of the day SO much easier. Nobody has to coordinate getting from a hotel or Airbnb to the venue right before everything starts. Once you’re dressed, you can basically step outside and immediately be surrounded by beautiful places for photos.

And then there’s the ceremony space.
This might be my favorite part of Jardin del Sol.
The Main Garden Sanctuary is tucked into the greenery with a central lawn surrounded by flowering plants, shrubs, and tall trees. A vine-covered pergola wraps around the garden with soft sheer curtains, which makes the entire ceremony area feel intimate and hidden away from the rest of the property.
At the end of the aisle sits a wooden arbor that couples can decorate with their own florals, although honestly? The garden does SO much of the work for you already.
There’s even a pond and running creek nearby, so you hear water and birds and all the little sounds you actually want to hear during an outdoor ceremony. Instead of feeling like you’re standing in the middle of a giant event space.
One of the most magical moments from the wedding day is that during the processional you could see the emotions welling up in Jakob’s eyes as he awaited his bride. Each one of their best friends and family walked down the aisle two by two. Once it was time for Kasi to walk down the aisle the emotions were flowing for everyone. I looked at Jakob’s dad and noticed his teary eyes and snapped one of my favorite photos. You can FEEL the love in these pictures.

After the ceremony, guests can spread out instead of immediately being shuffled into another room—which is one of the things I love most about this venue.
Jardin del Sol has a full acre of lawn surrounding the garden and reception spaces. Plus, pathways and little garden areas to wander through. It creates this really relaxed cocktail-hour atmosphere where people can grab a drink, play lawn games, explore the property, or just hang out in the sunshine.
And from a photographer’s perspective, this is PRIME portrait time.
There are so many different backdrops within a tiny walking radius that we don’t need to disappear for an hour to make beautiful photos. We can sneak away into the gardens, use the paths, or photograph near the pond and creek. My favorite spot is head into the open lawn as the sun starts dropping behind the trees.
Which means you get gorgeous portraits and actually get to spend your wedding day with your people. Win-win.

If you’re getting married here, pleaseeee leave a little room in your timeline for golden hour portraits.
The main lawn faces the tree line, and when you get one of those perfect Washington summer evenings. When the light starts filtering through everything, it’s unreal. The manicured gardens give you the romantic, elevated look, while the surrounding woods and open pasture still make everything feel distinctly Pacific Northwest.
It gives you SO much variety without ever leaving the venue.

Once the sun starts disappearing, Jardin del Sol becomes an entirely different kind of beautiful.
The reception area is made up of three connected terracotta patios surrounded by trees and greenery. A large white canopy tent covers the main dining area and comes dressed with a liner, draping, and chandeliers, so you get the practicality of a covered reception without losing that airy outdoor garden-party feeling.
Then there’s a separate dance patio tucked among the trees with cafe lights overhead and fire features around the space.
And THIS is where Jardin del Sol really shines.

Instead of spending the end of your wedding inside a ballroom, everyone gets to dance outside underneath twinkle lights and trees. The lower patio also has a stone gas fire pit and lounge space. This space gives guests somewhere cozy to hang out when they need a break from the dance floor.
What better way to end the night than a glamorous ending! One of my favorite send off options are ribbons. They are less messy, easy to use, not flammable, and they photograph so good. I would highly reccomend doing ribbons for your send off. My close favorites also include bubbles and sparklers.

If you’ve made it this far because you’re considering getting married here yourself, hi!! Let’s talk logistics.
Jardin del Sol (pronounced har-DEEN del sohl) translates to “Garden of the Sun,” which feels extremely fitting once you see this place in person.
The venue sits on seven acres of pasture and lush woodland in Snohomish, Washington. This is about two miles from downtown Snohomish. Despite being relatively easy to reach from the greater Seattle area, the property feels surprisingly private once you’re inside.
The overall vibe lands somewhere between an elegant garden party and a relaxed Pacific Northwest backyard wedding, except somebody made the backyard REALLY freaking pretty.
You have manicured gardens and romantic florals alongside big trees, open grass, water features, patios, fire pits, and surrounding woodland. So if you love the idea of a garden wedding but don’t want it to feel overly formal or manicured, Jardin del Sol strikes a really beautiful balance.
Jardin del Sol is primarily an outdoor wedding venue, and I think that’s important to know before you fall in love with it.
The ceremony takes place outdoors in the Main Garden Sanctuary, while the reception flows through several outdoor patios. There is a 30′ x 40′ white canopy tent over part of the reception space, complete with a tent liner, draping, and two chandeliers.
The venue also supplies additional pop-up tents and even keeps clear umbrellas available if Washington decides to do what Washington does best.
So while you still get that dreamy outdoor wedding experience, there are some built-in options for dealing with less-than-perfect weather.

The Main Garden Sanctuary is the heart of Jardin del Sol and where ceremonies typically take place.
Picture a green lawn surrounded by perennials, shrubs, trees, and a grapevine-covered pergola. At the end of the aisle is a wooden arbor you can personalize with flowers and decor. There’s also a pond and running creek nearby, adding even more greenery and texture for photos.
Afterward, the celebration moves toward three connected terracotta patios.
One holds the white reception tent and dining area. Another becomes the outdoor dance floor beneath cafe lights and trees. And the lower patio has lounge furniture, the venue’s large wooden bar, and a stone gas fire pit.
The result is that your wedding doesn’t feel confined to one big room. Guests naturally move between dinner, drinks, dancing, lawn games, and quieter lounge areas throughout the evening.
Jardin del Sol currently lists a maximum occupancy of 160 guests.
Personally, I think venues like this are especially beautiful when you embrace the garden-party feeling rather than trying to make the property feel enormous. The different patios, lawns, garden spaces, and dance floor give guests room to move around while still making the whole celebration feel connected.
The venue’s main wedding season currently runs May through October, which also happens to cover some of the prettiest months for an outdoor wedding in Western Washington.
Late spring gives you that ridiculously lush PNW greenery, summer brings longer days and golden evenings, and early fall can give the gardens a warmer, moodier feel.
Because so much of Jardin del Sol’s appeal comes from being outside, I would definitely think about sunset time when choosing your date and building your photography timeline. Those long summer evenings give you SO much flexibility for portraits without pulling you away from your guests during cocktail hour.
For 2027 and 2028, Jardin del Sol currently lists full wedding venue rentals at:
The venue also offers smaller elopement and micro-wedding options starting at $1,500, so you don’t necessarily need to throw a 100+ person wedding to get married here. You can find their pricing guide here!
Obviously wedding pricing changes over time, so definitely check directly with Jardin del Sol for current rates and availability when you’re planning your own date.

Quite a bit, actually.
Your venue rental currently includes exclusive use of the property for your wedding day, along with many of the rentals you’d otherwise need to source separately.
Some of the included items are:
They even provide access to 3D planning software so you can design your event setup before the wedding.
There are also plenty of furniture and display pieces available through the venue, which can make planning an outdoor wedding significantly easier than starting with a completely blank property.
YES.
And obviously this deserves its own section.
Jardin del Sol is pet-friendly, and pets are allowed to participate in events as long as somebody is responsible for caring for them and cleaning up after them.
So if you’ve been trying to figure out how to have your dog walk down the aisle, appear in your wedding photos, or simply be there for part of the day—this venue officially gets bonus points from me.
It does!
If you love the venue but don’t want a traditional large wedding, Jardin del Sol in Snohomish, WA currently offers elopement and micro-wedding packages Sunday through Wednesday.
Their elopement option starts at $1,500 for the couple plus five guests and two hours at the venue, while the micro-wedding package starts at $3,500 for the couple plus 30 guests and five hours of venue use.
Additional hours, guests, and services can also be added depending on what you need.
I LOVE this option for couples who want something more intentional than a courthouse ceremony. I totally understand if you don’t necessarily want to hike six miles into the mountains or plan a traditional 100-person wedding. You still get the beautiful surroundings and feeling of having an actual wedding day.
Jardin del Sol is located at 10522 52nd Street SE in Snohomish, Washington, only about two miles from downtown Snohomish.
That means you get the secluded, countryside feeling without asking your guests to drive hours into the middle of nowhere.
And because you’re already in Snohomish, you have access to plenty of nearby lodging, restaurants, vendors, and other wedding resources. While still getting married somewhere that feels tucked away in nature. Snohomish, Washington is known for it’s stunning wedding venues, and this one is one of the best!
HEY! I’m Valen, a Washington wedding and elopement photographer who is a sucker for wedding days that are equal parts beautiful and actually freaking fun!

And Jardin del Sol fits that philosophy so perfectly.
It’s naturally beautiful without feeling stuffy, elevated without losing that laid-back Pacific Northwest feeling, and there are approximately one million little corners around the property where I want to take you for photos.
But more importantly, your wedding doesn’t need to become one giant photoshoot just because you’re getting married somewhere beautiful.
We’ll sneak into the gardens for portraits, chase the last bit of golden light across the lawn, and take advantage of all that gorgeous scenery—but then I’m sending you straight back to cocktail hour to drink champagne with your friends. Click here to see more of my work!
If you’re planning a Jardin del Sol wedding in Snohomish and want your photos to feel beautiful, emotional, candid, and unmistakably like the two of you, I would LOVE to hear what you’re dreaming up.
